City of Point updates

1.  Our CCR has been posted for 2024 for your viewing. (Consumer Confidence Report) the link will also be added to your utility bills that will be mailed out Monday.

2.  We have been delayed on Clearwell repair at the Water Plant pending TCEQ Approval on plans and additional tank.

We will let you know when those repairs are due to begin as soon as approval is obtained from TCEQ.

Water Restrictions will only be in place during repairs.

3.  Mowing of Right of Ways should be caught up by end of day.  If your City road was missed please e-mail me at cityclerk@cityofpoint.org

Remember 1st Street before 514 and S 1st are TX-Dot.  The City maintains mowing on 69 ROW and service roads per interlocal agreement.

4.  I would like to Thank Tyler Wunderluch (Road Repairs) and County Road & Bridge (Large sink hole by creek culvert) for the assistance they have provided to the City on Ave E/1402.

We still have more work to complete I will update as we address the different roads throughout the city.

5.  Rains County is not under a Burn Ban; however It is your responsiblity to be safe...do not burn with high winds, do not burn without a water source, do not burn illegal substances and call dispatch to give a heads up if it is a larger burn pile, do not ever leave fires unattended.

6.  We are finishing up meter reading this week and will return to active workorders and roads next week.

I will try and do this periodically throughout the month to keep all of you updated on City items.
