Boil Water Notice - If you had no water or low pressure during this repair (Inside City Limits)
09/25/2025 4:10pm
Due to a broken Fire Hydrant and loss of water or pressure (S 1st Street), the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Point public water system to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption.
To ensure destruction of harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking or cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigarous boil for 2 minutes.
In lieu of boiling, individuals may purchase bottled water or obtain water from other suitable sources for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil your water, the public water officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
Once the BOIL WATER NOTICE is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to the customers to rescind the boil water notice in a manner similiar to this notice.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact the City of Point 903-598-3296 or come by the office at 320 N Locust Street, Point, TX 75472
Thank You, Public Works
